Description
The Porsche Boxster is a mid-engined roadster that was produced by Porsche from 1996 to 2010. It is the first Porsche designed with water cooling since the Porsche 928. The Porsche Boxster name was derived from the word “boxer”, referring to the vehicle’s flat or “boxer” engine, and the word “roadster,” referring to its convertible top.
In 1997, German car magazine Motor Klassik named the Porsche Boxster Car of the Year. In 2015, it won Best Sports Car at the Golden Steering Wheel Awards and a year later it topped Auto Bild Sportscar Magazine’s list of “10 most important sports cars of the last 20 years.”
So what makes the Porsche Boxster so fantastic? The Porsche Boxster is different from other Porsche models in that it’s a mid-engined roadster. This means that the engine is located in between the driver and the passenger, as opposed to being in the back like most other Porsche models.
One of the main reasons why people love the Porsche Boxster is because of its amazing performance. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds, and it has a top speed of 166 mph.
